Don't let it get you down. I thought the Madness collab you organized was one of the most creative things I've ever seen. This years madness day was amazing.

Artists getting the appropriate amount of recognition is a tricky thing. But the people here seem committed no matter what to create brilliant works.

I just love that the artists on newgrounds are willing to put themselves out there and make the wildest things.

I felt a little sad that my flash didn't got a trophy or anything but when you think about it, a trophy is just symbolic. Right now my Madness flash has a 4.32 score, higher than any of those who got 1-5th place yesterday. Plus it got a lot of positive reviews and that's makes me happy. :)

Next time I'll submit it much earlier in the day in order to get more votes.

I completely agree with this, because the story, art style and take on the madness series was completely new. Yeah, the animation might not be completely fluid, but still. The flash was fun to watch and kept me watching till the very end.

As with your collab, i really loved all the different takes on the series too,
makes me wish i was as tallented as you guys.

I've been coming to NG for I-Don't-Know-How-Many-Years and I've seen brilliant movies be ignored and average movies be praised to the high stars. Unfortunately, this is inevitable in any voting system that you may establish.

The bets we can do is try to promote these movies, such as Cuboid Jazz Monster:

Quit sucking Pegosho's dick, you know for a fact that it was far from the #1 submission(not saying it was bad, but way too many had it beat). Also so what if you disagree with his score, you you haven't noticed... when has score ever had an exact reflection on a submission, never. Although I agree that users like Catoblepas and MasterAardvark are underrated simply because people haven't leaned how to properly appreciate quality (although Pegosho put tremendous effort in both the animation and story in his submission, it's quality took a huge dive with horrific sound effect quality and poorly timed and awkward fight scenes), who are you to try to take such a bold stand with this HUGE realization you just came to. That newgrounds doesn't get it enough!

all the madness flashes are overrated anyways. they should all be 4.2 range. they shouldn't be rated as high/higher than bitey at all

For the first half of Pegosho's movie I didn't see what was so great about it. Then it got to the Alive advertisement and the battle with Tricky.

The others were pretty harshly recieved. That much I can fully agree with.

Jeez, this whole unfair recognition/ unappreciative audience thing is a touchy subject.
Yes, you are absolutely right that Pegosho's movie should have got more recognition. Maybe not a 1st place, but certainly a front page at least.
I think the think the thing is that the majority of voters on Newgrounds aren't artists themselves and can't really appreciate what other people have done in their work. They look for stuff like smoothness but don't always see how much work would have gone into a drawing. Does that make sense? Like they would vote high on a submission that uses Krinkelseseses sprites but is animated smoothly, and vote low on one like Pegosho's, where the author has taken lots of time to make the drawings look good, but (no offense, Pegosho :D) maybe isn't done quite as smoothly.
Meh, I dunno, it's just speculation. And why am I even leaving this comment if I'm just agreeing with you?
