why cant flash make boxes with rounded corners more easily.
and why are drawing objects always getting in the way of everything.
and why is snapping so annoying. you get so mad and finally turn it off only to discover i need it some random task.
why. oh why.
i hate that flash guy....but he always keeps me coming back....so hard to stay mad at you...

you can make illustrations in illustrator or potoshop and eport or just drag all the layers from photoshop or illustrator onto the stage in flash and export it like that

HOW DARE I HAVE TO TURN ON THE SNAPPING TOOL WHEN I NEED IT WHY DOESN'T IT JUST KNOW WHAT I WANT CLICKING A BUTTON IS MUCH TOO COMPLICATED.
Fuck man, you're using a program which does everything for you. You're only 22 and you're making cartoons independently. No expensive studio equipment, no masses of dollars put into the production, no team of people you have to pay just to colour in all your pictures, no paint, no paper.
I know it's cool to be angry at the big companies and how they screw you over, but a huge team of people built and funded this program and made animating a possibility for you. You're completely dependent on these guys and while I'm not saying you have to be immensley grateful or you should animate using entirely traditional means, you could at least be humble about it.
How could they make the snapping tool easier than a button that you unclick? How? I can't think of anything.
It's like bitching about fast food taking too long. You didn't kill the animal and ship all the ingredients in, so it's still saved you an immense amount of time and effort. Nobody owes you any level of service, you can just go catch your own food. I'm really, really struggling to think of something pettier than bitching about having to turn off the snapping tool.
Fuck.
Go program your own software.

for rounded corners- holding down the down key while dragging the rectangle tool should do it. or make a rectangle primitive then slide the corners with the arrow tool.
snapping- a simple ctrl+shift+/ is something that I've gotten used to.
ahhhh now that's more like it!

round edged boxes are easy. just set the corner radius of the rectangle tool to 5 or 10 or whatever.

but why arent they MORE easy is the question...because if i set that radius(which is a hassle) then next time i got to draw a straight corner rectangle they will be all curved up! - - it needs to be like in illustrator where its just one of the base options like a circle is....and yes, i am that lazy haha
