You should probably specify your plans more than just "wanting to start a indie studio", but starting a studio sounds catchy already.

yeah -- specifics is definitely something i can bat around with anyone who is interested ( i guess the idea is that i want a few players on board to collectively decide what the studio would really BE - so its more of a group choice)

honestly i would be willing to do either - - if there were people that i knew were willing to commit over the net, than i would definitely do that route as well.
I think you should definitely make App games for iOS or Android (or both). it's a flourishing market that you must take advantage of it.
